Add a second workflow triggered by Shopify's order fulfilled event that finds the matching Trello card by order number and moves it to a Fulfilled or Completed list. Your Trello board becomes a live fulfillment pipeline that updates itself as orders progress.
Add a due date to each card based on your fulfillment SLA
Extend the Create Card step to include a due date calculated from the order creation time — for example, 2 business days out. Cards approaching their due date will surface automatically in Trello, helping your team prioritize without needing to check Shopify separately.
Frequently asked questions
Will one card be created per order, or one card per product in the order?
One card is created per order, regardless of how many products are in it. All line items from the order are listed together inside the card description, so your team can see the full order at a glance on a single card.
How do I find my Trello board and list IDs if they don't appear in the dropdown?
If your board or list doesn't appear in the selector, make sure your Trello account is connected in MESA and that you have access to the board. You can also enter the board and list IDs manually — find them by opening the board in Trello, clicking a card, and appending .json to the board URL to see the raw data including all list IDs.
What happens if an order comes in with custom line item properties — like personalization or gift notes?
Custom line item properties are included automatically in the card description. The workflow loops through every property attached to each line item and appends the property name and value below the product details, so personalization instructions, engraving text, or any other custom fields show up exactly as the customer entered them.
